Blue Knights TX XX August Weekend Ride

TO ALL MEMBERS, FAMILIES & GUESTS:

The August Blue Knights TX XX Chapter Ride will be held on Saturday, 8-22-09.

I have a friend I was in the Army Reserves with, Angelo Collado, and he lives in Dallas. I was talking to him about where they go on their rides in the Dallas area. He told me and I thought it would be nice to go somewhere different so this ride WILL be different.

We will meet at the Shell Station at Windthorst & US287 at 0815 hrs and go KSU at 0830 hrs. We will ride to McKinney Texas and meet Angelo & his riders at the Braums at Hwys 380/75. We will go KSU from there at 1100 hrs. We will then ride with Angelo on the "Hunt County Twisters, East Texas Choppers, Deep Ellum, Strokers Run" In addition to the info provided below, we are also going to Big Slicks in West Minster Texas. Here is the info Angelo sent me:

Very pretty terrain, excellent twists/turns, many places for fuel & a couple of cool stops.

Total Ride = 143 Miles but only about 20 on Interstate. Mostly out in the country on asphalt, lots of turns, lots of trees.

Meet at Braum's in McKinney at 75 & 380. I'll be there early grabbing some b-fast. Guys from the west side, y'all should arrange to meet up somewhere and ride to McKinney together.

Leave at 11AM
East to SR-5, then SR-121 to Randolph.
Through Wolfe City, Celeste, Greenville, Quinlan down to Terrell

Lunch/Drinks at East Texas Choppers in Terrell

Take US Hwy 80 West, to Deep Ellum, through the arts district to Strokers Dallas

This ride is open to all members, family and guests.. Angelo said the more the merrier & louder...We haven't had a lot of riding this year as a Chapter and this ought to be a good one. As usual, I will send out reminders as the time draws near, so mark your calendars today...

Road Captains will be appointed at the staging area.
