BLUE KNIGHTS TX XX MONTHLY CHAPTER MEETING

To All Members, Prospective Members & Guests,

The monthly Blue Knights TX XX meeting for January 2010, will be held on Friday,1-15-2010, 1800 hrs at the WFPOA Building 3229 Industrial Dr. Wichita Falls Texas.

The meeting is open to all members, prospective members who wish to join or renew their membership in the Chapter and any wives, husbands, girlfriends, boyfriends and significant others of members. If you have a guest that rides with us on our Chapter rides, then you may invite them.

The reason the meeting is open to all that ride with the Chapter, is that Jim Jackson is a certified Motorcycle Safety Instructor, as well as one of our Road Captains/Directors and he will be presenting a program on the "Guide to Group Riding" that is a program of the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF). One of the topics we will be covering is communicating in formation riding using hand signals. This is extremely important for all members, passengers & guests to know, so we are all on the same sheet of music, as it were.. It is imperative that you know what someone may be signaling to you about. It is all about safety.

Other items we will be covering in the meeting will be introducing new members, discussing rides & events that the Chapter will be involved in during 2010, and we will address any question, comments, complaints and praises those attending may have.

New membership/renewal Applications must be turned in before or at this meeting. Greg Burt, our Secretary/Treasurer, says Blue Knights International has to have ALL applications in by the end of January. If you are thinking about becoming a new member of our Chapter, or if you need to renew your membership, please do this ASAP. The more members we have, the more honorary slots we will be allowed. Currently, it is one honorary member for every 10 members. Due to numerous members not renewing last year, we lost one of our honorary slots. So, let's get it together and increase our membership stats.
